Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located? Do you charge travel fees?

We are located in Oxford, Mississippi.   We love to serve our clients' pet(s) all over the state of MS, the Memphis and surrounding areas and in connecting states!

We currently have trained and Pet CPR-certified Chaperones in the following locations:

  •   Oxford, Corinth,  Jackson, & Tupelo, MS
  •  Memphis, Collierville, & Cordova, TN
  • Huntsville, AL
  •  We travel frequently to the Jackson & Nashville, TN and Birmingham, AL areas, and we are available for Destination Weddings.
  •  Travel fees apply if outside areas where our Chaperones reside.

We charge mileage fees if we must travel over 60 miles. Mileage fees are calculated round trip, from the chaperone's starting and ending points.

  • An additional Travel Fee of $150 applies if our chaperones must travel 3+ hours (one way) or if event service is over 6 hours.  This fee also applies in the event of inclement weather when driving conditions are unsafe or dangerous.

Love this concept! How do I book your service?

  1. Complete our Bark Hotline inquiry form!  We will get back to you and schedule a no-obligation phone consultation to talk to you about what you expect from your pet(s) on your wedding day, as well as to ask general questions about your pet(s)' behavior and personality.  We also want to know what makes your Pet special!
  2. Then, we'll customize your Pet's Service Package, send your Contract, and forward your Invoice! We can not hold and secure your date without a signed contract and your 50% non-refundable deposit.

Do you require a Deposit?

  • We DO require a deposit to secure your date!

  •   We require a non-refundable 50% deposit of your Custom Package total to secure and guarantee your date.  Without a deposit, we can not hold your date. Your remaining balance is due thirty (30) days prior to your event date.

  • Is your event fewer than thirty (30) days away?  Full payment is due when you sign and return your contract.  Just another reason to schedule our services well in advance of your event date!

  •  Need a Payment Plan?  We can break your payments into three payments:  your non-refundable deposit, plus your balance broken into two payments.  Simply request this during your phone consultation!

How Far in Advance should I book with WB?

We recommend inquiring and booking no later than six (6) months prior to your event date.

Our spring and fall weekends fill quickly in all of our locations.

There's nothing we hate more than saying,  "We are sorry, but we're already fully booked," to our clients.

Do you train dogs?

Although we are licensed, bonded, and pet CPR-certified, we are not dog trainers.   Most of our Chaperones are pet owners, are associated with pets, or frequently pet sit on their own,  or they are just pet-loving people, and several have participated in dog obedience courses with their pets.

If your pet(s) will participate in your ceremony, we arrive prior to your ceremony start time  to practice, and we coordinate with your planner the duties of your pet(s) well in advance of your event date.

We recommend working with your pet(s) on basic commands that you know they will need such as the following:

  • "Sit" and "Down"  commands are needed during photographs, during the ceremony if a pet is a participant, or during the cocktail hour at the meet and greet with guests.
  • "Stay" is needed during photographs or during the ceremony if a pet is a participant.
  • "Off" needs to be learned and frequently practiced if your pet gets excited and JUMPS when greeting guests!
  • How to calmly and loosely walk on leash. is helpful because most venues require that pets be leashed at all times.  We require pets wear a comfortable and properly fitting harness so that the leash can correctly attach to the harness.  Attaching the leash to a pet's collar poses a choking hazard.

Do you pet sit?

Since we are not your "typical pet sitters," our priority is to focus our care for your pet(s) specifically on your wedding day, wedding weekend,  or for your engagement session.

Arrangements to stay with your pet pre- or post-ceremony can be included in your Custom Service as an add-on.  Just ask for specifics during your no-obligation phone consultation!  We have found that after dropping off your pet, a two-hour stay is usually perfect to calm most pets and give a family member or friend time to come home to check on your pup.

Arrangements can also be made for Wagnolia Bells to stay overnight with your pet/s, on site (home, Airbnb, hotel).  This is a great option if you need us at your Rehearsal AND at your Wedding.  We can easily be your pet's chaperone and chauffeur for your entire wedding weekend!  Inquire for details!

  • We accept local Oxford, MS, pet sitting inquiries.
  • Availability must not interfere with Wagnolia Bells wedding dates.
  • Locals can reach us through our Bark Hotline or wagnoliabells@gmail.com
